Weekly Update 11/30

JOIN US THIS SUNDAY AT 10:15AM - Our teaching series, "Son of the Most High," continues this Sunday. As we study Luke 1-2 together, we'll discover the profound significance of the birth of Jesus, the Promised Rescuer who offers hope, salvation and life to all!

PLEASE HELP US BE GOOD HOSTS - Are you willing to sit closer to the front and in the middle of the rows during the worship gathering on Sundays? Especially during the Christmas season, we would appreciate your help making room toward the back and/or on the aisles for our guests or latecomers. Thank you!

2024 BUDGET APPOVAL PROCESS –   In our upcoming Congregational meeting, this Sunday, December 3rd, we will vote on the proposed budget for 2024. All are welcome, and official members are especially encouraged to attend both meetings.

FAMILY ADVENT DEVOTIONAL – Our family Advent journey begins tomorrow!! This year's advent devotional, beginning with creation, invites your family on a beautiful, chronological journey through ancient stories that reveal God's faithful promise to send a rescuer - Jesus! Each story contains a verse, thoughtful question, and ornament for display and reflection. Email Debbie if you want to be added to the daily email for this video advent journey!

VERY MERRY LADIES' BUNCO CHRISTMAS PARTY - Join us Thursday December 14th from 5:30-8:00pm! Bring an appetizer or dessert to share, and wear something FESTIVE! We'll be playing an easy to learn game, enjoying good food, and great conversation! Sign up here, at Church on Sunday, or text 503 932 2294 OR 503 999 1018.

CHRISTMAS CHEER - Our church family has a fun oppor-TUNA-ty to continue our support of Christmas Cheer! As we work together to feed families in Polk County, we will be collecting cans of tuna, along with boxes of tuna helper and hamburger helper through Sunday, December 18th.  If you are able, will you please consider bringing some tuna or a box of 'helper' to feed hungry people? Food boxes will be delivered on Christmas Eve morning. If you would like to help pack food boxes, please join us on Christmas Eve morning, 6:00 am at Polk County Fairgrounds. If you or someone you know could use some extra food this year, please sign up here or ask the church office for more information.

CHRISTMAS EVE WORSHIP: As you start making your Christmas plans, please join us for a candlelight Christmas Eve service at 4pm. Since Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday, we will ONLY gather in the evening for this special service. Children of all ages are welcome for this one hour celebration. We look forward to celebrating with you!
