Along the way, we’ll see the true nature of His kingship revealed. Come be encouraged and challenged to follow the King who gave His life and now reigns in glory.

GROW IN SHARING JESUS WITH OTHERS! - Join us in the Community Center on April 21st from 6:30 to 8:00 PM for an evangelism training designed to help you grow more confident in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This session will focus on equipping you with the “why” and “how” of telling others about Jesus. It will also help us prepare to invite others to and potentially assist with "ONE Fest" (free, community-wide outreach event on June 28th at Roger Jordan Park). You’ll learn simple tools for sharing your testimony, encouraging others to become followers of Jesus, and connecting them with a local church—all in a supportive, hands-on environment. Coffee and dessert will be provided, so come ready to learn, be inspired, and take a step toward sharing God’s love with those around you! 

WE HAVE TWO OPENINGS IN OUR CHILDREN"S MINISTRY ON SUNDAY MORNINGS!

Toddler Room (once a month) - Serve by caring for and loving on our little ones through play, snacks, and simple connection.

Requirements: Background check and a love for Jesus and children.

Elementary Class (once a month) - Encourage and connect with kids as you share Bible stories in a fun and meaningful way.

What is Baptism? 

The word, "baptizo," was first used in cloth mills. When wanting to change the color or shade of material, the weaver of cloth would "baptize" the cloth so it became identified with the dye. Baptism in Christianity is a visible expression that you are identifying yourself as a follower of Jesus Christ. We practice immersion, where the whole body is submersed in the water. 

Why be Baptized? 

  1. Believers should be baptized because the Lord Jesus commanded it.          Jesus commanded his disciples to "go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit." (Matthew 28:19). If this were the only reason for baptism, it would be enough. Out of love and gratitude, we obey the commands of our Lord Jesus. 
  2. Believers should be baptized because it is a beautiful symbol of the fogiveness of sin. John the Baptist first used baptism as an object lesson: "They were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins." (Matthew 3:6). Throughout scripture, sin is constantly described as a mortal stain; forgiveness is spoken of as washing white, even "whiter than snow." (Psalm 51:7). 
  3. Believers should be baptized because it is a mark of discipleship. It's interesting that the "making of disciples" and "baptizing" are used in the same mandate. Since water is everywhere, and few acts are so simple as the being immersed underwater, Jesus selected baptism as a universal badge of discipleship.
  4. Believers should be baptized because our King Jesus was baptized. When Jesus was 30 years old, he asked John the Baptist to baptize Him. The baptism of Jesus was a unique one, however! He chose to publicy identify with John's message of repentance. By being baptized by John, Jesus was able to "fulfill all righteousness." This means that even though Jesus was already righteous, it was important for Him to affirm God's demand for His creatures to be righteous. 
  5. Believers should be baptized because the apostles baptized their converts. 
  6. Belivers should be baptized because it is a picture of Christ's death, burial, and resurrection. When we are baptized, we delcare to the world that we believe these distinct facts - that Christ once lived upon the Earth in human flesh, that He died for our sins according to scripture, and that he was buried, rose again from the dead on the third day, lives today, and is ruling and reigning as Lord of all. (1 Corinthians 15:3-11).
  7. Baptism shows that the beliver is changing from his old life of sinful ways, and starting a new life as a follower of Jesus Christ. Jesus' burial and resurrection was an example of how our life changes when we become Christians. Just as Jesus died on the cross and was changed after his resurrection, so then are we. We die to our old, sinful past, and are raised to walk in newness of life with trust and hope in Christ. 

If you are a believer in Jesus and want to show others your love for Him because He first loved us, then you are invited to be baptized!

DALLAS WEEKDAY BIBLE LUNCH FUNDRAISER - On February 28, you can pick up a hot lunch that includes pulled pork, potato, and old settler beans for $15 each from 11 am to 1 pm, with all proceeds going to Dallas’ Weekday Bible. Faith Church has been happy to support this community ministry as they teach students how to have a relationship with Jesus during release time from their public school day. Sign up here for the lunch fundraiser!

DALLAS WEEKDAY BIBLE LUNCH FUNDRAISER - On February 28, you can pick up a hot lunch that includes pulled pork, potato, and old settler beans for $15 each from 11 am to 1 pm, with all proceeds going to Dallas’ Weekday Bible. Faith Church has been happy to support this community ministry as they teach students how to have a relationship with Jesus during release time from their public school day. Sign up here for the lunch fundraiser!

RED SUNDAY FEBRUARY 15th! We invite kids and adults to wear red or pink and to bring a valentine to share. These will serve as starting points for our "love discussion," where we explore what the world says about love versus God’s truth and His plan.

If you would like to share a snack, a valentine, or a small trinket, please sign up or contact Debbie for a list of suggestions. You can reach her by text or call at 503.932.2294, or via email at debbie@faithchurchdallas.org. We would love your help in making this a special day for our children.

We use these as fun starting points for our 'love discussion.'  We have snacks and activities during our class time to remind our kids 'it's all about love!' 

If you'll consider giving a treat or your time, please text or call or email Debbie at 503.932.2294 or debbie@faithchurchdallas.org to get a list of ideas and suggestions. We would love to have your help make this a special day for our kids.

NEW YEAR. NEW SEAT. - We’re inviting the whole church family to join in a fun, lighthearted challenge designed to help us get a "fresh perspective" and build new connections. From now through Easter, every time you gather for worship, consider sitting somewhere new and connecting with someone you don’t usually get to. There’s no pressure, no scorecards, and definitely no one keeping track of your seat choices. It’s just an invitation to shake things up, meet someone new, and build the kind of church family where everyone feels seen, known, and loved. Will you join us in the challenge? We'd love to hear from you -- email us the view from your seat or a note letting us know you've accepted the challenge.
