Weekly Update! (6/19)
CURRENT TEACHING SERIES - "BY FAITH" – We invite you to join us ONLINE this Sunday as we continue our summer series through Hebrews chapter 11. We will see how trusting God and His promises brings about a confidence and hope that spurs us into bold action. This Sunday's message, from Hebrews 11:4, is titled "The Supreme Offering."
RESUME GATHERING IN PERSON - TARGET DATE AUGUST 2ND - Polk County has entered Phase 2 of the reopening process as of Friday, June 19th. That means that Faith Church continues on our path toward our TARGET DATE of resuming Sunday worship gatherings IN OUR BUILDING on August 2nd. Here's Pastor Derek's update from this past Sunday.
SUMMER CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS – Due to ongoing circumstances related to Covid-19, we continue to make adjustments to how we function as a church family. Unfortunately, that includes needing to cancel or significantly change many things in the upcoming months. We thank you for your understanding and support while we all work together to continue BEING the church no matter what our circumstances.
- August Picnic & Baptism in the Park is cancelled due to logistical limitations and continued uncertainty. However, we do want to celebrate what God is doing in our church family via baptisms! So if you are interested in obeying Jesus’ command to be baptized, please contact the church office. If there is a need, we will find a good way to celebrate baptisms this summer.
- Contemporary Issues Series – Our annual tradition of weekly speakers in August is cancelled. These speakers are usually booked early each year and ongoing uncertainty did not allow time enough to plan the teaching series for this summer.
