THIS SUNDAY AT 10:15am- We are excited for you to join us ONLINE or IN PERSON this Sunday, February, 7^th, at 10:15am. We will have a guest speaker, Dr. Brick Lantz an Orthopedic Surgeon with Slocum Center in Eugene. (Dr. Lantz was a guest speaker two years ago during our August Guest Speaker Series.)   Dr. Lantz also teaches premed students at the University of Oregon who are part of the Christian Medical and Dental Association.  The title of his talk will be a “Physician’s Prayer.”  He will reflect on the prayer in Ephesians and help us to make it practical.  He will offer us his biblical and professional perspective about how we are one body with Christ as the head and need to support each other, even the least and vulnerable during this pandemic. When you check in on the church center app, be sure to select IN PERSON or ONLINE, depending on where you are joining us from.

CONGREGATIONAL MEETING VOTING RESULTS- Thank you everyone who attended our January 31^st congregational meeting. In case you missed it and/or are interested in the voting results, they are as follows. Grant Boustead and Marty Friesen were elected to a second, three-year term on the elder team. Grant Boustead was re-elected with 78% of the vote (83 votes for and 23 against). Marty Friesen was re-elected with 80% of the vote (84 votes for and 21 against). Only a couple of people abstained from voting.

NOMINATION TEAM - During our January 31^st, congregational meeting, we made the decision to begin the annual process of seeking God's direction on adding elders to our leadership team earlier than in years past.  We are beginning this process now.  So, we ask for you to be in prayer. If you would like to recommend someone you believe is Biblically qualified to serve as an elder, and you know that man is open to serving in that capacity, you are welcome to suggest their name to someone on our current nomination team; Mikeal Davis (Lead Elder), Sally Dunkin, Gary Schilling, and Donn Anderson. You are welcome to place your suggestion to any of the elders as well. RED SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 14TH- Valentine's Day is the time of year that gives us a perfect opportunity to discuss 'LOVE' with our children - specifically what the world says about love and what God says about love - His truth - and His plan.  We do this on 'Red Sunday.' We invite kids and grown-ups to wear RED (or pink!) - and to bring a valentine to share. ELDER TEAM ANNOUNCES PASTOR DEREK’S TIME AWAY - This has been a difficult season for each of us as the Faith Church family. Much of the stress has been carried by Pastor Derek and the rest of the Elder Team.
