Weekly Update! 02/13
JOIN US THIS SUNDAY AT 10:15 AM for "What We Believe," a new series exploring our Statement of Faith. Each week, we’ll hear what the Bible teaches about these core beliefs that unite us and how they impact our faith, purpose, and daily lives. This series will help us understand what we believe, why it matters, and how it guides us to follow Jesus.
"WHAT WE BELIEVE" RESOURCES - In our current teaching series, we are working our way through our Statement of Faith. If you are interested in further study, we've posted this list of resources on our website.
RED SUNDAY IS February 16th - Valentine's Day is the time of year that gives us a perfect opportunity to discuss 'LOVE' with our children - specifically what the world says about love and what God says about love - His truth - and His plan. We do this on 'Red Sunday.' We invite kids and grown-ups to wear RED (or pink!) - and to bring a valentine to share. We use these as fun starting points for our 'love discussion.' We have snacks and activities during our class time to remind our kids 'it's all about love!'
If you'll consider giving a treat or your time, please text or call or email Debbie at 503.932.2294 or debbie@faithchurchdallas.org to get a list of ideas and suggestions. We would love to have your help make this a special day for our kids.
We are so thankful for the Hope we have in Jesus and His great love for us. We are excited for a day to remind us to share that love with others! Your kids (and you!) are so loved!
RISE UP MEN'S RETREAT - March 7th & 8th at The Gate in Independence - Join us for a powerful time of worship, encouragement, and fellowship with other men as we grow in our faith together. Come for Friday night, Saturday, or the whole retreat! Cost is $35 (includes meals) or less if you only attend one day. No overnight accommodations available. Get more info and/or register at www.camprisenson.com
Our 2025 Challenge - New Year. New Seat. New Connections. We’re inviting the whole church family to join in a fun, lighthearted challenge designed to help us get a "fresh perspective" and build new connections. From now through Easter, every time you gather for worship, consider sitting somewhere new and connecting with someone you don’t usually get to. There’s no pressure, no scorecards, and definitely no one keeping track of your seat choices. It’s just an invitation to shake things up, meet someone new, and build the kind of church family where everyone feels seen, known, and loved. Will you join us in the challenge? We'd love to hear from you- email us the view from your seat or a note letting us know you've accepted the challenge!
INCLEMENT WEATHER PLANS - We love gathering together on Sunday mornings and we'll open the doors for worship whenever possible. In rare cases of closure, we’ll announce it via social media, and our website. If you don’t see an update, we’re still meeting! However, if you feel unsafe traveling, please stay home, stay safe, and join us via livestream.
RIGHTNOW MEDIA - Last November we had the pleasure of announcing and launching the online service of RightNow Media! You may have received an email from RightNow Media to set up your account and begin having full access to their complete video library. If you are not receiving emails from Faith Church, make sure to contact us and we will get you added!
CHURCH CENTER APP - There are many benefits and features to this app, and we encourage you to download it if you have not yet done so! You can use your church center app to connect with Faith church as well as check in on Sunday morning! From the app you can have access to current information, submit prayer requests, connect with your life group, pre-register for Sunday morning, and more! Let us know if you have any questions.
WORSHIP THROUGH GENEROSITY - God provides for the ministry of Faith Church through your cheerful, willing, and generous giving. Thank you! You can submit your offering in any of three different ways! Through our Church Center App, in the giving boxes on the back wall, or by texting any amount to 84321. All donations are tax deductible.
