"The Heart of Christ" Teaching Series - Week #1 Resources

FREE BOOK! We are handing out free copies of Dane Ortlund's book, Gentle & Lowly. Pick one up at church on Sunday OR come to the church (any time) and grab a copy from the plastic bin outside the main doors (under the carport).

If you got a copy of the book, we encourage you to read chapter 1-2 this week. And in personal or individual study times, you can reflect on and/or discuss the questions below.

Reflection / Discussion Questions (adapted from Gentle & Lowly study guide):

1. What difference does it make in your everyday life that "no one in human history has ever been more approachable than Jesus Christ"?
2. How do Jesus' actions in the Gospels manifest His heart for sinners? To whom does He naturally gravitate? How does your heart respond to that?
3. How is Jesus' natural impulse toward sin and suffering different from our typical instinct? What can we learn from His example?
