CRG Update & Meeting on Nov. 8th

From the Elders:
Thank you for your continued prayers for the reconciliation work that God has been leading in our church family. Crossroads Resolution Group (CRG), the conciliator team that has been assisting us, has recommended that we set a meeting for the purpose of updating you on the work that has been done. That meeting will take place at 2:00pm on Sunday, November 8th. Similar to Sunday morning worship gatherings, you will be able to register to attend in person (limited seating) or you will be able to register to receive a link so that you can view the meeting via Zoom. We’ll send out more information about how to register in the coming days.

Update from Crossroads Resolution Group:
Faith Church / Faith Christian School
Oct. 23, 2020

We realize that the work we have been leading and asking your leaders to pursue has been much longer than expected.  This has been due largely to the COVID-19 limitations placed on the ability to schedule and meet for the various mediations that have taken place.

We have recommended that the Church and School proceed to allow CRG to facilitate a congregational and school community gathering to allow us to provide a report of the work that has been done and to allow individuals who have participated to share what God has done to teach and direct them through this process.  The Elders, with consultation with the other participants have selected Nov. 8, 2020 for this meeting.  The Church will be publishing the details for this meeting.

This meeting is an opportunity for individuals who have engaged in this work to share what they have learned through this process, the confessions they believe they need to share with you as a congregation, and to affirm the confessions and forgiveness granted.  This is not a meeting where either CRG or others give a finding or conclusion on specific issues.  The hope and purpose of this process is to help the parties reach and communicate their reconciliation which then serves as a basis to rebuild broken relationships.  This creates the opportunity for the congregation to address important issues together as the body of Christ with the grace and unity God intends.

There will be an opportunity for questions regarding the process, but it will not be a retelling of specific issues or topics discussed in confidential mediations except as the parties have agreed such is helpful to the congregation and community and is consistent with God’s design for His disciples and their witness to the outside world.

We hope you will join us for this meeting.  If you have specific questions you may contact us at david@crossroadsresolution.com.
